L. Sipperly & Associates, LLC was established in 1995 to provide professional services in the disciplines of Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Mapping, Land Planning and Site Design. The Firm's principals are Lynn T. Sipperly and Nicholas Costa, licensed by the State of New York in the disciplines of Professional Engineering and Land Surveying. The principals have over 65 years of project organization, management and design experience on a wide array of project types for both public and private sector clients. Our office is located at 696 Troy-Schenectady Road, Latham, New York 12110.

Sipperly & Associates, LLC is a multi-discipline Engineering firm providing a broad array of services in civil engineering, land surveying, mapping, site analysis and design, and land use planning. Each project is executed under the direct supervision of a licensed professional who applies proven experience, knowledge and established skills to the organization, approach, supervision and execution of each project. Office staff are trained in the latest technology and supported by "state-of-the-art" equipment and software, which allows the efficient processing of work and on-time completion of projects.

Our professional and technical staff are fully experienced and possess the skill sets and technical knowledge to organize, implement and complete projects within the disciplines of service provided by the firm. L. Sipperly & Associates, LLC also provides a compliment of Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CAD) services; Geographic Information System (GIS) database management and land mapping services. The firm's philosophy is to provide clients with quality, creative, cost-effective solutions to their project needs and goals. We fully understand the value and importance of project schedules and are committed to project planning and completion of assignments on time.

Staffing size allows us better Control of Quality Assurance / Quality Control and Provides for Direct Involvement of Principals in Project Oversight.


Our primary business emphasis is land analysis and land use planning; site engineering design, municipal and regulatory agency permitting for commercial, retail, industrial use and residential communities. Project approach involves understanding the client's project needs and site operational requirements; identification and analysis of geophysical, regulatory and social conditions affecting site utilization and development; conducting necessary physical, cultural and environmental studies to confirm site qualities and limitations; engineering planning and design of site function and organization; engineering design of grading and utility infrastructure components (water, fire protection, stormwater management, sanitary sewerage and waste removal/recycling), site security and lighting, site appearance and landscaping, local government and regulatory agency approvals and permits.

Lynn T. Sipperly, Principal and Mr. Nicholas Costa, Associate, are firm members authorized to execute agreements and negotiate services and fees on behalf of L. Sipperly & Associates, LLC . The firm is structured as a Limited Liability Company under the laws of the State of New York.
